As part of its long-term plan to provide comprehensive and specialized care to those in need, Herzog Medical Center is constructing a new mental health facility. The new four story, 120-bed Mental Health Center will replace existing inpatient facilities and offer state-of-the-art facilities integrating outpatient clinical services. Patients will stay in double rooms with bay windows, allowing them to benefit from natural lighting, ventilation and views over a park space. Garden courtyards will ensure access to a secure outdoor space fostering patients’ wellness while encouraging their socialization and connection with other patients. A care center will serve as the heart of the inpatient department allowing supervision over all common and patient areas. Key social spaces, such as a dining room, lounge and multipurpose rooms will foster socialization among inpatients.
The design phase is underway and it is anticipated that they facility will open at the end of 2028. There are many dedication opportunities in the new building.
